Entertaining Your Kids (and Yourself) with Music: Chapter 3: Part 1: Immersion

You’ve made it to Part 3. And like your favorite movie series (“insert money-making book-to-movie series here”), this final chapter will be in two parts.

If you haven’t checked out Part 1 and Part 2, please follow the links. Both of these contain helpful tools for having fun while learning music.

However, there’s always more that can be done (and to be honest, what else are you doing during quarantine?). Today we will be going over how to immerse yourself in music while you’re at home.

YOUTUBE

YouTube, the video juggernaut, has so much content on it that it’s hard to figure out where to start. Yet, there are several channels dedicated to new music that post regular updates.

SPOTIFY

While Spotify needs no introduction, if you’re trying to find a podcast devoted to music, it’s hard. But, there are three that I will send your way today that you can subscribe to.

THE MUSIC BOX

This podcast is an interactive music education podcast designed for kids. Many of their episodes feature musical concepts. Kids can practice these along with the podcast while it plays.

And while it’s catered to kids, there is plenty for adults to learn listening to the podcast as well.
