You’ve done it. You’ve made it to the final post in our series. This one is more on the educational side of things. Because you can play guitar, play the music games, and listen to music all day long.
BUT!!!! You should know where music comes from.
There is a rich history of music throughout the world. There is a detailed history of Western music. And there is even a history of American music in all its forms.
Knowing where music comes from can put music today in a better perspective. That’s why the video below is so fun.
You get some quick snippets of music (especially those from the 1960’s onwards). It definitely shows where pop music comes from and how drastic the change is from the 1400’s to 2020.
These next two videos give you a more detailed history of the music in the West.
